John earned his J.D from DePaul University College of Law in 2015, as well as an M.A, in Journalism, in 2009. John attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison, earning his B.A. in Political Science in 2006. While attending law school, John was an Editor for DePaul College of Law’s Journal of Sports Law & Contemporary Problems.
John is admitted to the state bars of Illinois (2015) and Wisconsin (2022). He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, the Western District of Wisconsin and the Eastern District of Michigan.
John is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States (MLA), and the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA).
John focuses his practice in civil defense litigation, with an emphasis on admiralty and maritime law and transportation law. John has successfully litigated cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States regarding maritime and transportation personal injury claims, including Jones Act claims and pleasure boating and trucking accidents. He has also defended workers’ compensation and medical malpractice claims. John advises clients on insurance coverage, initial claim investigation, contractual issues and risk management.
