Michael D. Reed
Michael was born in Western Springs, Illinois, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from DePauw University, where he played on the Men’s Golf Team and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He received his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2013. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and Illinois state trial courts. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association-Young Lawyers Section, the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, and the American Bar Association.
Practice Areas: General civil litigation in the areas of personal injury defense, transportation, insurance defense, insurance coverage, admiralty and maritime, product liability, partnership disputes and commercial real estate. Michael also has handled transactional matters in the areas of commercial real estate, estate planning, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations.

B & G SALES OF GRAND RAPIDS, INC., et. al., Case No. 2015 L 5128, Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division, in a personal injury lawsuit when a temporary employee was ejected from a truck, secured summary judgment prior to oral discovery on behalf of defendant waste and recycling services company, on the basis that the defendant company was a borrowing employer of the plaintiff and thus protected from civil tort liability under the exclusive remedy provisions of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Act.
